↠ THE CHARACTER
Name | Alias: Cent
Journal: nocents
Age: Unknown, but looks 18+
Canon: Drakengard 3
Canon point: Two's Prequel DLC, on the way to The Cathedral City
History: http://drakengard.wikia.com/wiki/Cent
Personality: Disciples and intoners share a close bond that sometimes even means, in cases like Dito and Five, that the disciple can be forced to act in ways they wouldn't normally, to the point of being a completely different person. Even then, it's shown in the character stories that the disciples retain their own thoughts despite that intoner influence. While someone like Dito deep down hated Five, Cent was the complete opposite. In fact, there was no influence from Two's song at all, and Cent is genuinely in love with her and will do anything to protect her, even if that cost his own life.
But Cent is an idiot.
Not that he doesn't have his moments of intelligence though. Behind the scenes he actually has a keen mind. This shows in his character story when he talks in a way that makes it so he can see Two's varying facial expressions, such as making her pout and then smile brightly, stating that he was a brilliant schemer that just wanted to see both expressions in the end. The reason that he's an idiot is that he lacks foresight and acts almost entirely on impulse. Why Two falls into the mental state that she's shown to have in game is his own fault. He uses Two's song to enhance their soldiers, to make them completely loyal, to the point that they lose their own mind. This causes a chain reaction into a snowball of awful events which result in the death of the children Two was taking care of.
Cent isn't as kind as Two believe either. Even the reasoning for saving the orphans was selfish. Two initially believes that Cent healed them and their soldiers out of kindness, until Cent states that it wasn't. He wanted them to be healthy and strong, to be a shield for Two, to throw bodies in the way of any harm that had come her way. He even says to her plainly that he would even throw away his own life if it meant keeping her safe, which deeply upset her and changed Cent's view on that completely, making sure that he would live if only to not upset her.
He's also extremely vain. He describes himself as handsome, skilled, smart. Any positive thing that you could say about a person, Cent would probably say it's about him. Funnily enough, it's (mostly) true too. He really is charming, handsome, and he is handy with a blade. His confidence isn't completely unfounded. There are very few people that he considers above him, the Intoners mostly, but Two is the only one that he says he would serve unconditionally. Whether she be an Intoner or a normal human, in his own words, he would spend every second of every day at her side without a complaint. Any other Intoner, however, despite showing respect for them by actually addressing them as 'Lady', a title that Cent considers above even himself, he would only serve them as a subordinate and nothing more. He only considers his relationship with other Intoners as jobs, only necessary if truly needed. The only one he's completely and utterly loyal to is his love.
Another big part of his character is that he lies. A lot. Not about anything big, like his love, and he isn't harmfully deceitful either. He just likes telling wrong bits of trivia. In Two's case, he mentions that he plays with her cheeks because maintains her complexion by promoting blood flow and relaxing muscles, despite the real reason being that he wants to see the expressions that she makes when she pouts and smiles. It's unknown why he lies to the other Disciples and Intoners however, especially more frequently. It could be because he really does feel himself to be an idiot after what he did to Two, and hence lets himself play the part in spades.
If he's anything though, he's loyal. To a point, anyway. The only reason he joins up with Zero is to preserve his own life, his last mission from Two, and he remains by her side for the remainder of the game. Until Two comes back into the picture like with one of the additional routes. That's the only time he's shown to flat out betray anyone, mostly being taken prisoner by Zero before, but when Two appears again he flat out stabs another disciple just to be with her again. Zero states that it was due to her influence, but like Cent says, the song never had anything to do with his loyalty and love towards Two.
Abilities and Nerfs: Cent is about as strong as a normal human! The most he can do on his own is swing around two swords with relative ease, and his main source of power comes from his bond with his Intoner(s). When borrowing Two's song, the other ability he was shown to have was to enhance soldiers past the point of normalcy, turning them into monsters that could barely speak coherent sentences, due to his own gross misunderstanding of the song's influence.
So as such, he doesn't have anything to really touch upon on a personal power scale! If his Intoner is nerfed, so is he, essentially.
Inventory: just his clothes!

Five Desires: His desires are pretty easy to nail down! One of them would be his weapons, and if not them specifically, two plain swords would do nicely. Some tickets for popular dating spots would be pretty great too. A lot of his other desires would revolve around Two's, which would be cookware and other various utensils that go with it. He would definitely be willing to sink to having sex with normal humans if it meant making Two happy with it, after all.
